Absolutely no bullshit!
If you've ever been told you're 'talented' but feel continually frustrated that you're not making a living from your creative work, this course is for you. Throughout my career I have felt that there are not enough honest resources for aspiring illustrators. Sure, you might know how to develop your drawing skills, but how do you get people to part cash for them? Why does no one talk about the business side of illustration? In this course I have decided to spill the beans on how I now make a full-time living out of my work. I want to share my experiences with you in order to help you to develop a successful career as an illustrator.
(No bullshit, I promise.)

Lisa is a freelance illustrator with over fifteen years' experience of working in the creative industry. For the last five she has worked as a freelance illustrator and through her own challenges has sought better ways of making an illustration career more accessible. The No Bullshit Guide to Making a Living from your Art is a course inspired by many of these frustrations and the lack of honest resources available. Lisa's down to earth approach means that information is easy to digest, fun and engaging, making launching a creative business far less daunting.
10% of all profit from this course goes to Art Emergency – a charity that helps marginalised young people overcome barriers to participation and success in higher education and the creative and cultural industries.

Read MoreThis year has lacked many things and gained others, this is definitely the latter. I have missed the peers of university now I've graduated and to a degree the seminars, yet this wonderful little (ish) resource goes so much deeper than Uni ever did (sorry uni but true). I feel both comforted and reinvigorated to push on trying to do what we love to do, if a little nervous for all the business bits and the bad clients. But now I know I have a little guide up my sleeve to avoid any said Bullshit! Many thanks for the best gift of this year!

Read Less"This is literally my new bible. I've read many other ‘getting started’ books and none have come close to being as frank and open as this. What’s genius about it is that you’ve encroached the reader to determine their own way to do it with encouraging examples. I don’t feel the need to outright copy the way you work. Instead I feel I now have actual really world practical steps to do to develop a career. You’ve taken the ambiguity away, for that I could cry with gratitude. You’ve made the thought of joining the industry a less scary prospect."
